The Moliceiro straw hat is the classic canotier model of the traditional Portuguese straw headgear.

Its name is taken from a well-known wooden fishing boat of Ria de Aveiro, a vast lagoon just on the other side of Costa Nova.

The Moliceiro model is available in a wide variety of sizes and comes with a removable snap hat band, which makes it possible for you to choose your own favourite (or favourites) according to the intended look. Like the other straw hats from the Costa Nova collection, is also gender-neutral.

The process of making our straw hats is completely artisanal, which faithfully testifies to the skillful and ancient Portuguese art of working with straw.
